This strat is for 4 mana 3rd party maps where all the mana are next to the other.

Thirsha- build beast handler between 2 of the stones on the end. Then use Thirsha to guard beast handler.

Beast Handler- use shift-build to construct 4 lodetones. Then build a Beast Tamer.

Thirsha- Fly mon around to make sure nothing is coming to attack you.

You can do several things now.
Depending on what your opponent is doing is what you do next.

+If you expect horses, I'd personally build a Death Totem with the Beast Tamer and Thirsha guarding. Followed by a Basilik. Both of these will run your mana low, make sure you do now hit 0 mana. If you do, stop Thirsha guarding. And use her offensively. After this you can make hunters.

+If you expect a rush, build a Death Totem, and mass hunters. Build a spirit wolf to resurrect risen wolves from the bodies. If you want to mon hunt, wave your own hunters, and res. the bodies. Risen Wolves attack faster and do more damage than hunters. They also have slightly more health. The only difference is that they are melee, but great for hunting monarchs combined with hunters and your monarch.

-If you are in a team game and you have time and you know you can't be attacked or wont be attacked. I'd stop for a second until your mana bowl reaches 3500/whatever. I'd use Thirsha to guard the Beast Tamer, and build a Beast Lord. With the completion of the Beast Lord you have a few possibilities.

+You can use the beast handler to produce Swamp Beasts and the beast lord to make one(1) roc. You then load the swamp beasts into the roc and drop into the enemy base. Or in water. They can destroy buildings, defenses, and ships very quickly.

+You can use the Beast lord to make a shaman and upgrade mana. A fully upgraded zhon is dangerous in a game. You can then drop orcs on your enemy until they are dead. I've done it numerous times.

+You can use the beast Lord to make stone giants and the Beast Handler to make hunters. These two together, with a skilled thirsha can own even an Aramon player massing cannons. I know, I've done it to Joker before.

Any other questions just ask. Dont lose your mon, remember to upgrade, and know your opponent! One monarch wave to your base and you can be in trouble... So Vision is key!

Nice strat clay.
One problem I have always had with zohn is knowing when to get the next builder, tamer/lord. I guess you need to know whether your opponent will rush or not to upgrade at the best rate.
Building mana at the right time is another thing I stuggle with generally I'm bad at getting started with zohn unless I'm with a strong team mate Razz

Waving your own units is a little counter intuitive, on paper it might look ok but i dunno in an actual game, I guess I'll have to try it but surely it is more efficient to let them die then ressrect so you get use out of both units?? scratch

I'll edit this post when I get on my other computer so I can compare the Hunter with the Risen Wolf.

Waving your own units may seem irrelevant. But if depends what you want to do. Personally I have killed Elsins in the past using just risen wolves, hunters and my mon. All within 5 minutes of the game, because the guy thought he could walk into my base to wave and survive. Funny thing was he didn't get to my base.

Waving your own units, gives you the element of surprise. I mean, I know from that game my opponent who will remain nameless, flipped out on me. He called me a cheater. And I had to explain to him how I created risen wolves when he didn't send any units to my base.

They are cheap. Think for a second how long it takes for a spirit wolf to be built, and then how long it takes for a risen wolf to be resurrected. About 2 seconds, tops if you have positive mana.

I use them for mon hunting in early games. My plan of action is usually to make about 15 hunters, and have a spirit wolf ready to res. 15 risen wolves. Then have another large group of hunters ready. When I see the mon the middle I'll attempt a few different things depending on what units are around the mon. If I see a large group of archers/swordsman/horseman + mon, I'll use a few hunters to send in as a decoy, then wave the large group of units with Thirsha. While I'm running away I know the mon will be in pursuit using meteors and bubbles. So I'll send in the hunters and use the risen wolves to flank the mon when he starts to run. Depending on my monarchs health, I'll use him either in my base to create drop of some sort on my opponent. Because they are trying to counter hunters and wolves. Gotta switch it up! Or I'd use my mon right on top of the mon attacking him and building totems to prevent him from running and keeping my wolves at his heels.

Hi,

I played this game, a long time ago... My nick was evilcleric(gamespy). I have one ask? Your "Elsin, Aramon" enemys was slow? When I played versus zhon with elsin i did 2 3 mana 1 barrack. While barrack expand or do other things, i take my mon run for hunt or wave your base...kill you with first attack + gates(if you speak i cant use gates, i use barrack or other thing...) while i kill you with only my mon, my base was expanded. Another thing if you do 15 hunter + beast tamer + 1 spirit wolf, what your enemys was doing while you do all this things?

sorry for my english... ^^...but all idea is...or you are very skilled or your tatic is for play x computers... But thanks for giving tips ^^

Evilcleric, TheSharman
