 New Tile Sets

With the lack of games that go on at night, I have had the time to work on some new maps. Was wondering if anyone has more tile sets so I could make some diff types of maps?

I'm sure ta players have many tilesets for tak. Go to the ta lobby and ask.

There are other tilesets but I havnt been able to find the links for them in along time.

You are able to import your own via a certain program, which all the files I had are on my old laptop. Basically, you could pretty much make a picture of your face as a tile on the map. I don't have all the details in front of me.

Wow that would be nice, put down the details on how to do this, I could try to render some new landscapes for tak

Its easy if u wanna do a flat map..... but to make hills and such is harder

If you guys want to make your own tilesets you should be very careful. Two of the official tilesets, the Cavern and the Lava Pits, are buggy. You can actually construct a Verunan Sea Port or a Creon Naval Shipyard on land. Of course it won't be able to produce any ships at all (even if it does, they will be stuck), however it ruins the experience. The Cavern minimap is buggy too! The black explored areas are shown as black & white lines. I guess this happens because Cavedog planned to use these tilesets only for campaign missions and not for multiplayer or skirmish. The Cavern tileset was never meant to have any flying units at all. If the Cavedog team had not been so lazy and had made these tilesets to work normal we would have had today two amazing tilesets. Too bad...

I actually found a way to deal with these issues.
* In LavaPits/Volcano tiles, you can use Multi-script to ban Naval Yard and Sea Fort from the "Use Only..." list.
* In Cavern, there is actually a single map which is not buggy. This map is Hades (by Whitehammer). You can make a copy of this map, resize it, edit it as much as you like and it is going to work perfectly! Very Happy
