 adding things to maps using hpi view/pack

After looking through some of axls modded maps I see hes added new tilesets and even managed to create new lodestones with what appears to be animations. Is it possible to add music or even new unit models into a map to create a mod in a map out of interest? if so couldn't an entire race be added in a map file?

Also how has axl changed parts of the tileset, the .jpg inside the map file has a number for its name, how did he manage to find this number? And can I use a similar technique to add custom music??

i know that an AI, a mdafide canbilld, and terain can be added to the map kmp.

the AI is named defult and is in a TXT format.

the terain tileset nuber can be found at the terain.hpi.

there was a good turoreal at the RX site for the canbilld.

when opaning the map with the hpi viewer the kmap and terrain and all othere things added should be seperate folders.

if you want to chaing somthing just look at the data.hpi for it and try it out.

I have HPI Pack/View

Do I need another program to add new map terrain?


For example i want to add new Tilesets to use on Cartographer

Is it possible?

Which program would I need to do it except HPI View/Pack?
