 Epic (for me) game in January 2009 (vs cpu xD )

Warning Warning terrible enligh below mode on

one day i woke up and thing hmm I need some epic battle vs cpu but that should be more hard than on angvir maze and with normal typicall cpu (without any mods) (I not even sure that was on crusade ballance but i think it was)
so i made map

and i give for myself 5 mana
for aramon and veruna 8 mana
for zhon and taros 10 mana ( because Ai usually more sux "for them")
and aramon is the nearest race in front of veruna->taros->zhon (and in the east>) aramon->veruna->zhon


and i didnt had anything to do so i play

now i dont remember why i chose taros




the most diffcult was first 30 minutes many times i thought "i'm going to be defeated"
(after 1 hour playing)
when i safe some army to attack I attack (nice sentence xD )
but mon dies (ouch) (during building gates he was trebuching(?) nonstop by many trebs xD and i was noob so he die )
and i got "only" my black dragon so i thought i must practise him (later about him)

but when I attack enemy i lose much more than i produce so that was strange when i saw "i have only fire demons in first line other come from abbyss no any extra demons" (that was strange I send some hordes of demons and I see now only few demons) (Idk how I made this situation xD )

So next half hour i again tryied to survive and practice my DRAGON ( only he can prevent from trebuchets guarded by hordes of stupid strongholds )
I lost many mana(on heal) but i knew he can be my key of victory

and I safe some bigger army

(After 2,5 hour playing)
I atack again with some bigger army and better strategy (I dont remember what i was doing




and i beat first aramon on west side

and now was easier with more mana
but sometimes i make the same mistakes so sometimes that was really hard for me
and anyways that was hard to keep aramon side ( many anyoing trebuchet destroy divine lodestones)


and then in some next hour i capture next side so it was easier and easier
and dragon became immortall**
(After 4 hours 50 minutes playing)

after some 150-250 kills
so he had the same level after killing 500 or 1000 units





After this map I test something with kingdoms AI
and they got many limits
for taros 2 cabals(works even on demo version) 2 abbyss 2 temples (dont know how about with other races)
unlimited towers bastions strongholds ( thats most annyoing )
7 normal lodestones ( next can be only divine ) ( not works on demo kingdoms ( yes xD demo version )
so one time i (?)export/import(?) map to demo and i think in demo cpu is more dynamic in bigger maps than in full version
................. ^ thats posibble u need to make folder maps in (?)c:cavedog/kingdoms demo(?)u can even import music to demo version ( but u need to make music folder too )
and in demo version works only some textures so i usually use this from "the pits of namatar" (only one map)

Why none's Creon? Suspect

In short, you won due to the golden Black Dragon. Looong game, never bothered to build Spawn of Belial? I don't know if it's really tough against those many numbers, but it can cross waters you know.

Before the latest patches and crusades balance, every kind of deity raped everything, mostly because of his/her crazy health regeneration. After the latest patches and crusades balance, deities became much weaker (they have low to none health regeneration) and you need to combine them with an army (and a holy dragon, if possible) in order to win.
This was not the only change the patches did. The holy dragons used to have their 3rd wave attacks since they were created, so they used to be much more useful and deadly (play the campaign mode if you do not believe me). For an unknown reason, the latest patches or crusades balance removed the 3rd attack and made it available only when the dragon's status becomes copper. Another serious change is the health of Zhon builders. Beast Handlers, Beast Tames, Beast Lords, they all used to be extremely fragile and easy to be killed. After the patches, they are much much more strong and durable. In the campaign mode, a few Crossbowmen slay a Beast Handler in an instant, in the skirmish mode (after the latest patches) it may take a whole minute to kill him!
So, I understand why On-My-May didn't bothered with his deity and decided to advance his Black Dragon into golden status instead. Unfortunately, after the patches, a golden holy dragon became a much better and more reliable unit in comparison with a deity.

There are 10 experience levels, each one adding 10% to maxdamage, weapon's damage, maxmana. Basically, they changed the manapershot of the dragons' wave from 1000 to 1300. Dragons have 1000 mana and need to advance 3 levels, not reaching bronze shield yet, to get 1300 mana and wave. In units stats, CB also added damagecategory. Zhon builds are stalwart, and against them the crossbowman will have his attacks multiplied by 0.25. About the game itself... while feeding the BD, leave your mon building god. Despite its bad healtime, Belial has great HP and radar. Passive-patrol waters and fool the enemies' units trying to shoot it.

Thanks for the info! However, even with the 0.25 multiplier, the Crossbow units will need a lot of time to kill a Beast Handler. A deity is useful but it should be much more useful in my opinion, that's all, and I also find a 10th level (Golden Shield) holy dragon much better than a deity.

To unlock the 3rd power of the dragons, u dont need to get it copper, its earlier than that

I have just begun a match against 7 AIs on the map Darien (i modified it to have more mana and to accomodate 8 players instead of 4)
And it has passed 1hour and no AI has been annihilated Sad
Its gonna be my longest game
Im using QuellCUT and the AIs races (ai_aramon ai_veruna etc)

Arthan by Holy Dragon u mean gold dragon? What do u mean by Holy Dragon?

IMO the funniest thing to make on Singleplayer is, to play in a big map like maze, then make all 4 dragons, and train them to gold
( Except for the ancient dragon i hate him Smile )

Well, is it just here or the pictures are broken? (on-my-way's)

Garacaius has insanes los, radar and reloadtime, and great power and range. Tammuz also is incomparably great in its roles. By building them, you keep your mon safe (OMW ended up losing it and its +10 mana) and just pay attention to the dragon, at least in 5h game lol! But I do agree that deities could be tougher, or at least have their buildtime decreased from 50 to 35-40min.

they looks like some alliens in fantazy

but now it cant they are to big morons ( but with some mods hmm )

Wow.

Nice game.

As far as the deity things go, I like Garacaius. Why? Well, aside from being insanely deadly, he almost completely reveals a small-medium map! Plus the radar! And Creon has nothing if not decent long ranged units (tortoises, I love em). And, in a defensive capacity, those darn prismatic mirrors are deadly when they can see the enemy coming. I suppose that explains how I would have played that particular game.

And 4 hours 50 minutes! Kingdoms is great if you have plenty of time to kill, isn't it? The longest game I've ever played was the Iron Plague expansion level "Chapter 8: Dark Tempest" My first time through it took me eight hours. Eight! My goodness me! It is absolutely crazy like that!

maybe u know how much experience need for each unit to get next level?
i cant find this in statistics ( only how much expierience for killing unit )
