Dear Spagg, let me answer this and explain you why you are a little wrong here:
[1st) GameRanger has a few hosting problems lately due to server maintainance, so people avoid playing games there for a while.
[2nd) There are some periods when there are very few people playing TAK there and this may be one of them, but this doesn't mean TAK is dead.
[3rd) I had some games with my big brother, who uses the name "Gman" in GameRanger. This is the first time he plays TAK online in his life, so he can be counted as a new player. Despite the fact he is not interested in playing with other people than me online (not yet at least), this shows that a few new people join the online TAK experience even nowdays!
[4th) I always consider my games as "big games", because I am such a great and big Kingdoms player (We laugh here!) so there were big games these weeks, lmao!! |

I quit playing a long time ago, but I gotta be honest somethings you can't move beyond....
I can still remember exactly how to play, never forgot.
And I sometimes hear TAK sounds in my head, or while I sleep; weather witch before it casts tornado, mon getting attacked sound, and trebucheuts to name a few..... all embedded in my brain... forever.
God help you guys, because thats what 10+ years of TA:K has done to me..... |

Thank god, I've enjoyed TA:Kingdoms without hearing sounds in my head (my addiction was big, but not so big to cause even the smallest mental distress) except for TAK's Iron Plague cinematics music (I still hear that music on my head and in real-life since it is so freaking epic!). TA:Kingdoms suffers from a "bad" year of online gameplay, but this doesn't mean it will stay dead after, let's say, 2 months. However, even if TAK's online gameplay completely dies:
1st) It would have already survived for 13 freaking years online, which must be a record for such an underrated/underestimated game!
2nd) People will still play it as a single player game against the machine, so it will never trully die!
Well, anyway, I think TA:Kingdoms has overall done me more good than harm, so I thank Cavedog for creating such an epic game and I also thank this community for giving me this game for free!!! |

Alright I'm not starting a discussion here, because people will take it personal (or distort everything maliciously) instead of looking it in a constructive way.
Is Tak deader than ever? Not rly, there has been worse times. And "suddenly" better times. |

| not sure if worse, but maybe almost the same situation. Anyways if there are ppl playing so isnt dead, doesnt matter what.
Btw yes sometimes i remember tak sometimes...good old times ^^ |

| Worse - mid 2008 there was 0 players at GSA (not even the 6t6 afkers), and there was no forum like this. At that time anyone would think that there was no coming back for TAK. |

I agree 100% here! Many people were in a hurry to perform the funeral for Total Annihilation: Kingdoms, but this little forgotten masterpiece always finds a way to cheat its own death and rises once more beyond the grave... |
