 Script Map Idea- Map where you don't start with a monarch

What would this game be like without monarchs?

-Slower paced
-More Strategic
-No Mon battles/No gates
-No mon rushes early on
-Probably more fun
-Would need to provided extra mana at the start of the game.
-Try to make a map where every race would not have a disadvantage.

-Could add in a script anytime after 20 minutes and player has 5 3rd tier builders in their base that a Monarch is summoned, but the rule is disabled after the mon is spawned so it cannot autocreate after it dies.

-Players would start with their 1st tier builder and 5000 starting mana.

Several different strategies could then take place.
1)Rush to win early game
2)Defend, Upgrade, Turtle to Win
3)Defend, while trying to rush 5 tier 4 builders before your enemy so you can summon your monarch before them and then crush them!

Sounds fun. In order to provide extra mana at the start of the game, I would assume it would have to have mana built on stones already. But I dont think you could make a map where all races have a disadvantage. One race would have to have it.

That is one way to do it A-train, but if it is a script, I believe its possible to set a rule that a number of mana is automatically given to each player, but this would not effect mogrium income value, only mogrium storage. The Mana placed directly would provide morgrium income.

What do you think would be best?

btw nice "idea" - "storage dont matter cos u have mons 5k, lodestones 1k, divines 2k. 100 of mana storage wont change a game unless ur playing a script without mon or in rare circumstances"

and you still haven't answered to my question there cos you never knew about ctrl+stop. repeating, it is obviously possible that one soul found about it for amoment. but it was never popular, and no good player ever used it to his advantage cos none of them knew it. so it doesnt matter. it only matters when its actually used as a skill

and dont complain about offtopic u do it all the time Very Happy

Well, as the creator of Multicultural, Multimon and Fairplay maps, as well as many more scripts, I can say all of these are both possible and interesting. However, the difficult thing is to:

1) find people who are willing to playtest.
2) find people who are willing to play the map after playtested.

If you need my help, I am willing to help (supposed I have enough free time to do it) but I don't think the majority of the community will be really interested in it.

Anyway, I think it worth the effort.
